Local Charity Martha Trust who provides a home for life for young people and adults with profound disabilities always have a packed calendar of events to raise vital monies for their residents and 2025 is no exception.

The charity are pleased to be able to deliver their annual Walmer & Kingsdown Charity Golf Day with the magnificent “Club on the Cliffs ” Walmer & Kingsdown on Friday 25th April 2025. The cost is £70 per individual and £280 for a team of four or £40 per individual and £160 for a team of four for members.
Services and facilities at the club include an excellent clubhouse with a great bar and restaurant. There is also a halfway hut facility on the course by the 11th tee with a wonderful choice of food & refreshments.

The day will begin with coffee and a bacon roll ahead of 18 holes of golf, followed by a two-course dinner, fundraising games and charity auction.
Main Sponsorship has been provided by Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club plus Superior Healthcare Group who are Martha Trust’s 2025 Events Sponsor and the charity are looking for a Main Sponsor specific to the day. There is an option for product placement within this Sponsorship package.
General Manager of Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club Mr Neil Hallam Jones says “Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club are very happy to entertain Martha Trust for their annual charity golf day at the club on the cliffs. We do hope that the event this year will exceed the fantastic amount raised for the charity last year. I’m sure with Kerry’s enthusiasm and the help and support from around the region everyone involved will have a great day.”
The charity’s patron is former West Indies International Cricketer John Shepherd who will be present on the day and there is a chance to join his team.
John also served Kent County Cricket with distinction for 15 seasons says “I am so pleased and happy to be able to continue my support Martha Trust with their annual golf days. They do some fantastic work. I have thoroughly enjoyed my cricketing career and it is great to be able to give something back to those that have not been so fortunate”
Fundraising & Events Officer Kerry Banks BEM says “We are so thankful for our ongoing Partnership with Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club and incredibly grateful also to John for their support of the day. We would love to hear from you to take part either through playing, offering Sponsorship, raffle or auction prizes. We would like to make this golf day the biggest and best yet!
