Best Year Ever 2024 competition terms and conditions

Anyone who enters the Competition (an "Entrant") will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Condition and will be bound by them

Competition Rules

To enter the Competition an Entrant must text the word ‘Play’ plus their full name and the postcode to 60099 (eg, Melanie Smith, CT12 4AD).

Texts are charged at standard network rate.

Entrants will have 5 minutes to enter, as announced by the on air presenter/s. Text entries sent after that time will not be counted but may still be charged.

Incomplete texts may not be included.

Text entries are limited to 5 per round, per entrant. Entries sent from the same text number above this amount will not be included. kmfm advises against excessive use.

Entrants must be aged 16 years or over and a resident in Kent and live in the BR, CT, DA, ME, or TN postcode areas.

Competition rounds are set up during the following hours, Monday to Friday from 8th January 2024: around:10 past the following hours: 9am, 11am, 2pm and :20 past 5pm, with the competition rounds playing out around 9:30am, 11:30am, 2:30pm and 5:30pm. Competition set up times and play out times are not exact.

One entrant per competition round will be chosen at random and a phone call made them. Entrants can enter again when the next round is set up and presenters ask for entries. 

If during the call the entrant does not answer when spoken to for whatever reason, including technical issues from the entrants' phone, that call may be ended and another caller will be chosen at random. 

If the caller is driving at the time of their call and cannot pull over for whatever reason, another caller may be chosen at random.

The entrant will be required to talk to the on air presenter and play the game. The entrant will be asked to choose 3 numbers between 1-99. If the 3 words when played together in the correct order say, "Best" "Year" "Ever" they will win the prize.

The competition is won once the 3 words from their corresponding numbers are guessed correctly and in the correct order. "Best" "Ever" "Year" would not be correct.

There is an additional cash prize to also be won: the first person to find one of the words wins £20, and the first person to find the second word wins £200. This prize money can only be one, once. Eg, if another contestant guesses a correct word after it has initially been guessed they will not also win a further £20 or £200. £220 is the total amount that will be paid in total.

Winners of this additional money can still enter the competition to win the overall prize.

A phone and also a video call may be recorded between the entrant and the on air presenter.

kmfm may at its discretion give out clue/s on air during the competition and increase competition rounds.

This competition starts from 8th January 2024.

 

Prize:  

1x £2,024 cash

Plus £20 for the first word found and £200 for the second word found 

Prize money is paid via bank transfer within 28 days. 

The prize money will only be paid into the winner's bank account.
